My job is nothing if not varied and this week’s been all about stoats. This little finger puppet was mocked up by the lovely Benjamin at the The Big Forest for a design job I’m doing for English Heritage at Mount Grace Priory on the edge of the North York Moors. He forms part of an activity trail pack for children and I think he’s too gorgeous not to share!

‘But why stoats?’ I hear you cry! Well, Mount Grace Priory is famous for them. They live among the Priory ruins and have a thriving colony, so it makes sense to use them as a character to engage children (of all ages). He is also being illustrated by Nick Ellwood and will appear on panels and in leaflets.

More about the job will be revealed in due course.
