Bivouac designed the graphic interpretation for a small, low-budget exhibition at Lakeside Aquarium on the edge of Lake Windermere, Cumbria.
The exhibition tells the story of endangered Freshwater Pearl Mussels; The FBA and Aquarium have a breeding programme that releases mussels back into the environment in the local area.
We designed cost-effective graphic solution for the space, including elements that can be removed for educational outreach visits. The graphics are aimed at a family audience and school groups.
We designed and illustrated Marge, the mussel, to appeal to children (mussels aren’t the most attractive of creatures!) and included simple tactile interactives to tell the stories in an interesting and engaging way.
