Bivouac was commissioned to design the branding and an illustrated trail leaflet for Discover Jesmond 1888, a National Heritage Lottery Fund project with a heritage trail linking two of Jesmond’s most beautiful and historic churches.
The trail meanders through the beautiful terraced streets of Jesmond, taking in the sites of local pioneers and celebrities from Catherine Cookson to the mother of Butch Cassidy! The leaflet and map work in conjunction with a Smartify audio trail and website.
The branding and map style were inspired by the mosaics and stained glass in St George’s Church. Illustrations were created for each of the trail.
