Bivouac was commissioned to design branding and an illustrated trail map and leaflet for Discover Jesmond 1888. A heritage trail links two of Jesmond’s most beautiful and historic churches – St George’s, Jesmond, and Jesmond United Reformed Church – and is delivering an eighteen-month events programme. Discover Jesmond 1888 is the first stage in a larger project to restore the churches’ exceptional pipe organs, originally built by the eminent British organ builder, T. C. Lewis.

The trail meanders through the beautiful, leafy terraced streets of Jesmond, taking in the sites of local pioneers and celebrities from author, Catherine Cookson, to the mother of Butch Cassidy! The leaflet and map work in conjunction with a Smartify audio trail and website and there will be touchscreens installed in the two churches to further enhance the experience.
